Cycle Hire

Enjoy a cycling break in the South Downs National Park or ride the South Downs Way on one of our mountain bikes. We deliver the bicycles to you at the start of your holiday and collect them at the end.

The Bikes

We use the fabulous Atom Explorer 21 and 27 speed hard-tail mountain bikes. Built with quality components throughout including lightweight alloy frames, SR Suntour forks, Tektro brakes and Shimano gears and chainset they are perfect for exploring the South Downs.

Atom Explorer 21: Tektro alloy V-brakes, 21 speed, front suspension, Shimano Altus components. An excellent general purpose mountain bike, ideal for the South Downs when conditions are good and the tracks are not too wet.

Atom Explorer 27 HD: Tektro disc brakes, 27 speed, front suspension with remote lock-out, Shimano Draco components. A serious mountain bike with quality parts throughout. Perfect in wet weather and when the tracks are slippery.

The frame size of both models is 20 inches, which means the bikes are suitable for both men and women with a height range of 5 feet 4 inches (1.6 metres) through to 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 metres) approx.

Accessories

Bicycles are supplied with a helmet, handlebar bag, water bottle holder, pump, spare tube, puncture repair kit, multi-tool and padlock. Fitted tubes contain sealant gel to help prevent punctures.

Useful Extras

We can hire Garmin GPS devices with preloaded Ordnance Survey maps of the trail, bicycle lights and racks, panniers and other cycle bags from the Tactuff range of cycle luggage, please contact us for more information.

Hire Prices

Prices shown are for the hire of one bicycle and include delivery and collection within the Hampshire area of the South Downs National Park when hiring two or more bikes. Discounts are available for longer hire periods.

For delivery and collection of one hire bike only or to locations outside of the Hampshire South Downs and for cyclists of the South Downs Way please contact us for delivery prices.

Cycle hire for customers of our holidays and weekend breaks includes free delivery and collection.

Bag Transfer Discounts

Receive a 10% discount on baggage transfers when you hire one or more bicycles.

Your bags are moved between hotels, inns and B&Bs each day leaving you to enjoy your holiday without a heavy pack or cycle panniers.

Bookings

Here's How It Works

1. You tell us your holiday plans and dates


2. We confirm availability and take a deposit of £100 per bicycle


3. We deliver bicycles to you at the start of your holiday. You will be asked to read and agree to our T&C's.


4. You provide 2 forms of identification, one containing a photograph


5. We collect the bicycles at the end of your holiday


6. We repay your deposit minus the cost of any damage or loss

Payment for the cycle hire service is made through our shop. Add the deposit and hire charge to your shopping cart and then pay using a credit or debit card.
