Cycle Bags - Rear Luggage Beam Rack
Rear beam rack for attaching panniers and rack packs. An integrated bracket allows a TACTUFF quick release rack pack to be fitted without the need for a QR Rack Adapter.
Constructed from tough, lightweight alloy, the rack is capable of handling all normal loading requirements, including for cycle touring. It can accept most rack packs and pannier bags that use standard strap or velcro attachment systems, and is specially designed to carry the TACTUFF range of quick release rack packs and panniers. In addition, the top plate can be used to carry any standard load.
The rack attaches to the seat post, making it suitable for most frames, including bikes with rear suspension, rear disc brakes and frames that do not have standard rack fixing points. A quick release clamp allows fast fitting and removal of the rack, with two split-cylinder rubber shims protecting the seat post and preventing slippage. The top plate and side frame can be adjusted on the beam for optimal horizontal positioning of the rack over the rear wheel.
Additional features include rails on the side frame for hanging panniers away from the rack top plate, as well as anchor points at the bottom of the side frame for bags that use hook attachments. An integrated bracket at the end of the rack beam provides a useful safety feature, allowing a rear light or reflector to be attached.
