| Posted by Al Blasdale on Mon 15 Aug 2011, 18:39 This was a great half day's cycle. Good mix of small quiet roads and bridletracks, some on the edge of fields, many through woodlands and between hedgerows. The route is not too hilly but it is certainly not flat and boring! There are some fun downhills. Charlbury is a good place to stop - pubs, delis etc. so lunch no problem. Most of the tracks were easy to follow - you do have to use the map regularly though and keep a close eye out for the bridleway signs. We did this route in August and it was very dry. Some of the wooded tracks could be very soggy in the winter we think! |
