With a continually expanding database of trails, event listings, holidays, maps, videos and much more, Walk and Cycle has established itself as a respected and trusted source of walking, cycling and community information.
As an Internet business we are able to offer highly effective, low cost advertising that is targeted at active individuals and groups within the UK and to the many thousands of visitors from overseas. We offer Trail Advertising and a Trail Design service.
Trail Advertising
Your business advertised on the trail of your choice. Long distance trails are very popular with independent walkers and cyclists, groups and visitors to the region. Nature trails, short cycle rides, village walks, treasure hunts and other trails with a theme appeal to families.
An advert consists of a business summary and a link to your website. Large adverts also include a business photograph and therefore are much more prominent than small adverts.
You can advertise your business exclusively on a trail. An exclusive advert is similar to our Standard Trail Design service except you choose from our database of trails rather than us creating a new trail for you.

Notes
- Each trail can contain a maximum of 6 large and 6 small ads.
- A small number of trails, the long distance paths for example, are not available for exclusive advertising.

You can find trails in your area with a post code search. If we do not have any suitable trails nearby you might want to consider using our Trail Design service.

Trail Design
We can design one or more trails that start, end or pass by your business. The trail page includes a full length advertisement with up to 4 photographs, a description of your business and contact details. Your business is also included on the trail leaflet that readers can print and take with them. No other businesses can advertise on your trail.
Standard Design
Our standard trail designs are short trails that are suitable for the whole family. The trail can start and end at your premises or start a short distance away with the mid point stop at your business.
If you have already designed a trail then we can add it to the Walk and Cycle site. You supply us the description and we will map the route, add the trail to our trail database, produce a trail leaflet and create you a full length advertisement on the trail page.
The A4 trail leaflet is suitable for home printing only and includes an Ordnance Survey map of the route, a description of the trail and your business photograph and contact details. An example trail is this short family walk from the Talkhouse Inn exploring the pretty Oxfordshire village of Stanton St. John.
Custom Design
Unique trails with a theme which include a leaflet that can be professionally printed. Examples are:
